I found an excellent seller on eBay to pimp NYX for me, so guess what – I pimped away! A big stash of NYX palettes arrived for me a week or so ago. Here are two of the Caribbean Collection palettes, which are named after…well, Caribbean Islands!
Oooh how I love my brights. These are on the matte side but aren’t they pretty too look at? Look after the jump to see swatches!
This palette is the brightest one of the collection and its really lovely. I paid about £8 for it and I am really happy with how soft and pigmented they are (I am not saying the are uber pigmented, I am not saying they are the best ever. But they are great for the price).
They are matte – these kind of colours, I think, really pop once they have shimmer in them but ok, they are sort of nice, a bit pastel like when matte.
I dream of St. Thomas also has a bright green (always wins me over) and some soft greys and pinks. More of a muted palette but is still a little fiesty:
This one swatches better. The black and the green especially, with the soft shimmer come across well. The peach and silver are just there to fill in the spaces.
Lovely stuff. These two are probably the brightests sets you can get and they are well worth it!
The sponge applicators are rubbish and the case is a little bit on the ugly side but the palette itself is good. Recommended!
