This Yoghurt Cream from Korres has been in my drawer for a few months, and I’ve finally got round to doing a review. Korres is a medium-expensive skincare and cosmetic range from Greece. They have tons and tons of products for all kinds of skincare ailments.

On paper it sounds like the dream cream – for both oily and dehydrated skin. Mine is problematic at the moment – dry and flaky around the forehead and temples but oily around the nose and chin (hence spotty).

They say:

This ultra soothing, oil free cream gives long-lasting hydration and comfort for oily, yet dehydrated skin. Yogurt a natural source of lactose, proteins, minerals and vitamins, instantly hydrates and relieves dry areas.

It smells a bit yoghurty and it looks a bit yoghurty – not like greek yoghurt, more like that stuff thats sour as hell:

The texture is pretty light – can it honestly deal with dry dehydrated skin AND oily skin?

Well, yes. This is a very nice cream indeed. The texture is not too heavy and greasy, it sinks in quickly and hydrates well.

It didn’t make my oily bits worse either:

As the weather has got worse since I started to use this cream I’ve found it a little bit too light for my super dry areas. I’ve needed a little help from my RMK Night Gel to get rid of flaky bits. That’s my main complaint really – when the chips are down this moisturiser needs a little bit more hydration:

Nevertheless, its a decent cream for people who really do have a combination skin situation going on. Under normal circumstances this cream is idea for my skin type (also no nasty additives). They say:

What it is formulated WITHOUT:

- Parabens
- Sulfates
- Synthetic Dyes
- Petro-Chemicals
- Phthalates
- GMO
- Triclosan

I didn’t notice any firming or anti ageing qualities but my skin looked smoother generally and no crazy greasy bits as the day progressed.

I paid £18 for this – not bad really for 40ml of face cream – its really lasted all this time.

Verdict:

A really nice cream for combination skin, for me, perhaps I am spoilt with lots and lots of wicked creams, its missing that little va-va-voom (I’d liked to have had a bit more hydration, some firming qualities and SPF). Yes, I want everything.
