I’m back! Had a web disaster yesterday so for the first time in a long time where were no new posts! Can you believe it! Today I am reviewing DiorShow Iconic Mascara Extreme Mascara.

What it is:
A mascara with an innovative oblique brush that curls and defines lashes.

First first first – I paid £20 for this Mascara in Boots. Or was it £19? I don’t remember exactly all I know is that I choked on my own spit when it came up on the till. C’mon! That’s super expensive for a mascara!

YSL Faux Cils is also expensive. Anything over £10 is expensive for a mascara in my book (yes, I have a large mascara collection – still need to find ‘the one’, you see). However Faux Cils comes in a solid, metal, gold tube. Iconic comes in a cheap lightweight plastic thing – crap for the price.

Extreme is the newer version of Iconic and it is waterproof.

The brush is key here:

They Say: With its long, skinny teeth, the plastic comb brush allows you to precisely coat each lash one-by-one-creating a long, separated fan of lashes that usually takes the skill of a makeup artist. The extra-hold formula provides a 24-hour-curl with 100% smudge-proof results.

I do like the brush – it keeps lashes very separated although it is a bit big for short Asian lashes. It reminds me of this famous drawing by Esscher:

It’s the spirals! Mascara on (excuse the mess I made):

Does this Mascara do what is says? You know…it did a pretty good job with curling. Did it boost my curl? Marginally. Did it make them flop. A bit. But its the best western market mascara I have used for curl so far.

It defines, It separates. I looks nice in the tube. The brush is hot, I’d love it if there was a smaller version too.

And yet – this is my favourite high end mascara on the western market so far but £20? Thats a lot for something you have to throw away in three months. However, for my short lashed Asian lovelies, this is worth a go as it did quite a nice job on me – it also didn’t run. For my naturally long lashed curly lovelies – I am sure you could find a cheaper alternative to this.

Rimmel London Sexy Curves Mascara is EXCEPTIONALLY good and it only costs around £4-5!
It’s amazing, it separates and makes lashes longer and thicker all at the same time, seriously, don’t waste your money on expensive stuff.
Email me and let me know if you like it too!

Hi have you tried fairy drops mascara? Despite heated eye lash curler once mascara is applied they flop back to south. But fairy drops is like a styling product that holds your curls =) btw rimmel sexy curves is such a cope out of fairy drops bristle.
