usabeautysupplies_2045_301907371I am always in pursuit of the wave in the hair – there was a time when my hair just did it naturally but it has been misbehaving of late.  I bought this Bed Head Foxy Curls Extreme Mousse a few months back even though I am not a fan of Tigi or Bed head products anymore – as a tween, yes.  As a student yes but not anymore.

So this cost me about £8 – I am not keen on mousses generally, but my hairdresser does tend to use it when he’s blow drying my hair.

Mousse reminds me of being a high school – rough by any standrads, and there was this girl who was build like a giraffe, and she those tight spiral curls that was encrusted in white VO5 mousse.  She’d lean back on my table and constantly, scrunch, scrunch, scrunch leaving tiny white flakes all over the end of my table.

Did I tell her to stop? Readers! She was about 6 foot by 6 foot (or is that feet)? and built like a brick.

But I digress.

My point is I didn’t hold it against this mousse that it was a mousse.

However – I have been using this product now for a few months and I HATE it.  It crunches.  Aren’t modern mousses supposed to be non crunchy?  There is no flaking, don’t get me wrong, but you can’t deny that hardness of the hair, of that dreaded crunchy sound, like stepping through leaves.

‘Are you stepping through leaves, Rowena?’

‘No, I’m just moving my head.’

Oh, Aveda Be Curly, I tried to replace you because you cost £16 but it just didn’t work.  I shall return to the counter, with my tail between my legs, and a debit card in my hands.
