I saw this Dior Lip Maximizer in a video tutorial and lusted after it – it had just a beautiful plumping effect and a soft pink colour. I did not want it for lip plumping properties – I am plump enough (ahem) but I did notice that this can be used 15 days in a row as a lip treatment which I doooooo want.

Here it is:

They say:

Dior presents a revolutionary lip care system that boosts volume instantly and restructures in the long term, thanks to a unique blend of hyaluronic and marine-based fillers that smooth, moisturize and leave lips irresistibly plump.

You can use the lip maximizer on top of a lipstick or under it. It’s lightly scented with vanilla mint and is mildly tingly….

Here is the applicator:

It’s just a standard sponge applicator, nothing to write home about. It leaves quite a fine coat on the lips.

Texture wise, it’s like a very thin gloss. It’s not thick, it’s not like a lip balm so don’t think that you can treat it in the same way! It works under or over lip colours but I’d say over is better!

Unfortunately, I didn’t get the rosy lip look I wanted using this – it’s really more clear than pink so don’t be fooled.

The tingle is nice, not too much and quite warming if that makes sense!

It filled in the gaps in my lips and soothed them a little but as I say, I wouldn’t use this is a lip balm substitute:

The result is quite nice, I’d be tempted to use this on it’s own as a treatment or occasionally on top of a lipstick. I wouldn’t say it’s a must have item but it adds some hydration and fullness, temporarily, to the lips.

Have you ever tried a lip plumping product?

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – you have AMAZING lips! They never look dry and HELLO! pillowy or what?!

I’m just a tad bit jealous…

I have max lip from myself but reading ur blog wich i do a time , but didn’t know u had blog loving is not good for my make up bag. after seeing ur review i got the
Royal Violets of NYX glitter cream pallets and also the push up bra of NYX.

I have to say the push up bra works very good. The royals u did convince me to get it i had the Bronze goddess already but purple will suit my skin color too like it does to you,
Tip i u accept it of course: NYX cream blush in the color Bronze Goddes could be something for u, It works perfectly for me
