I like Neutrogena…I remember my mum and aunts being obsessed with a blue face wash they did (they don’t sell it in the UK anymore but they do in the US and Canada…my aunt stockpiled them recently!).

I love their face wash - it’s so good and non drying.

Anyway I’ve had this Deep Moisture Comfort Balm for months and months. It’s not even near the end of it’s life yet amazingly:

This comes in a big 300ml tub and retails for around £5.99 from what I’ve seen. So value wise, it’s great!

They say:

Deep Moisture is clinically proven to deliver active moisture up to 10 layers deep in the skin*, providing moisture where it’s needed the most. Its non-greasy texture melts into the skin immediately, leaving skin perfectly soothed and soft. Comfort balm is suitable for both face and body.

Quite often the problem with these deeply hydrating creams is that they are just too rich, or take ages to sink into the skin…

This Neutrogena sunk is pretty quickly on me, but I do have dry skin all over. It is indeed a rich formula – it is a comfort ‘balm’ after all so if you don’t have very dry skin or you hate things that take a while to soak in, then this might not be for you.

The cream is a rich white formula; it’s not like a thick balm at all, so don’t worry to much about that!

This balm can be used on the face as well as the body. I used this after a shower on my arms mainly for a few weeks and it worked a treat – after a week I noticed the difference and just how much better my skin felt when it wasn’t dry and tight.

Mr C has since stole this and used it as a hand cream (which means it will disappear quickly!). He likes Neutrogena and says that this is ‘quite good’ but a ‘bit thick’ which he likes because his hands are ‘so dry’.

Verdict:

This is a good affordable body cream for people with dry skin who need no fuss hydration.

I have the lip balm of this and it is nicely hydrating and long lasting without feeling greasy or being too shiny making it look like you just ate a whole bag of chips or something. Very nice!

I, too, love the lip balm. It works well on winter-chapped lips, which are often a problem for me (even this time of year.) Definitely worth a try when you have a chance.
