I have been raving about the look of the Winter 2009 Bobbi Brown collections because they look oh-so-sexy. I love it when Bobbi Brown push it a bit more, add more funky colours and sparkles.

I also love cream eyeshadows although a good one is really hard to find. But look what I got:

Metallic, long wearing and creamy? Sounds good to me! If its anything like Bobbi Brown’s amazing Gel Liners then we are on to a winner…

Here are the two shades I got:

Starry Night is a cool steel and mercury is a sparkly blue – I imagine this would be stunning with my MAC Blue Flame Mineralized eyeshadow too.

The pigmentation is good but a little sheer at first. Its important to build it up if you want a more pigmented effect (about 2-3 coats). Its not a bad thing as it means the lighter shades can be used as an all over base without being too ghoulish.

The texture was lighter than I expected too. It doesn’t dry quickly so you have a bit of time to move it around.

On the eye:

It was long wearing for sure. At the very end of the day it had creased a little but nothing major – the days of super creasy cream eyeshadows have disappeared! (well….with the products I use anyway!)

All in all its a nice collection. Its permanent too so you have time to buy them. You can look at them here.

Hi got the same shades i really do love them and was surprised at how sheer they were but after a few coats i was suitably impressed – good bases under shadows too will have to pick some of the others up
