Four Reasons haircare originated from Finland and is one of the fastest growing ranges in Scandinavia and now, you can buy it in the UK.  When I first saw this hair care range I was in love with the cuteness – the packaging is fabulous.  Fun but sleek too – I like!

Four Reasons Haircare

Do you like?  Four Reasons splits it’s vast range up quite clearly so you can pick what is suitable for your hair (Volume, Colour Care, REpair, Clarifying etc).  I was sent some samples to try – I was sent the Repair Shampoo and Repair Mist (a leave in conditioner) and two of the styling products….

The shampoo is great for parched hair like mine.  However it does contain SLS – whilst my scalp can tolerate it to an extent, I find that day 2 it’s itching a lot more than if I use a SLS free shampoo.  So whilst my hair felt softer and stronger after using this shampoo, the SLS element makes it not too suitable for me.  If you don’t have a problem with SLS then it’s a good try.  To me it has a sort of non offensive floral smell.

The repair mist is surprisingly good – I used that and a small amount of hair cream and it seemed to contain my frizz bomb moments. Unless you have fine hair, I doubt this would be the only conditioner or leave in product you’d use – but I found it was a nice smoother nonetheless.

Now – something quite interesting! The Silver Mist is a product for blondes or people who get brassy hair. I get brassy hair from the highlights I have which I will tone down say once a week with a purple shampoo.   Silver Mist is a leave in conditioner that you spray in – it’s quite interesting because it means that you can perhaps skip the purple shampoo (which isn’t great for my scalp).

The mist is a light purple colour.  I tried using it on my hair and what I’d say is that the result isn’t immediate.  I noticed on my highlights it went from brassy, to a bit more orange, then the next time I used it, finally more ashy.  So, whilst it must be different for everyone, it took a few uses for this to get the desired less orange look.

Four Reasons Silver Mist

I didn’t notice any conditioning properties though – even so I think it’s a really handy product to have if you get brassy hair. (Use it on WET hair, the blow dry).

View the Four Reasons range here.  Prices are reasonable (£8.95 for the shampoo and mist) and you can pay by Paypal.

I’ve not heard of the brand until now, but love how it looks. The repair mist sounds interesting and is something I’d used as my hair could do with a bit of repairing!
