When I went to IMATS London, the first stand I rushed to was Eve Pearl’s.

I wasn’t counting on the make up costing quite so much – mental note: IMATS make up doesn’t mean discounted make up.

I therefore blew 3/4 of my make up budget on the Eve Pearl counter – gah! Was regretting making such an extravagant purchase without even thinking.

I got the High Definition Foundation , Eye Palett, Blush Trio, and three brushes (for £5 each!) foundation, concealer and mini mascara fan brush.

The three brushes are synthetic and rather nice to use. No regrets here for only £5 each.

Now the High Definition HD Foundation.

Its a dual sided foundation with a medium and lighter shade – means you can use to to contour or during the summer/winter.

It comes in a sleek black case. This was expensive…I can’t remember the exact amount I think it was £32. It definitely cost at least £30.

Not cheap. At. All. Eve Pearl herself colour matched me so I couldn’t exactly say no. I can’t even say no to a perma tanned Sales Assistant who has clearly matched me to the wrong shade of foundation. Here is the foundation:

Oh my. I have had a lot of cream foundations and I like them a lot for my dry skin, but I do find they don’t last.

I LOVE this foundation. Its wonderful.

Its nicely cream and gives decent coverage, but at the same time, it blends well and set so it lasts nicely. I really really adore it! Top cream foundation.

No regrets buying it at all. I could have so easily went and bought lots of cheaper items that I’d toss to one side after the show, I’m glad I invested in something that I will use.

Here is Eve’s video on how to use this foundation – tres useful!

Verdict:

LOVE this foundation. Not sure if its ideal for oily skin – some setting powder might sort it out.

I think Eve Pearl’s website ships this foundation internationally. I really love it, good if you have dry skin and need more coverage like Moi!

Yay or Nay?

Hi there! I really appreciate the review you did. I was wondering what color was the hd foundation you have that was pictured in this post? I’m trying to order one, but i have no idea what color set I would need. TIA! ^.~

Hi Nikkie

I am a MAC NC35 and I ordered medium. What shades do you wear in MAC (or another brand)?

I am NC 40 in MAC Studio Fix Fluid, which I think is a little different colorwise than regular MAC foundations. Revlon’s Photoready, I wear Golden Beige. It doesn’t quite fit me, since it’s more beige and not enough “Golden” for me lol. Hence why I’m on the prowl for another foundation that fits. MAC’s is the closest match, and is very good, but i was just in search of a creme foundation for the winter time (Since MAC’s creme foundation gives me cystic acne /sigh). Thanks for the response :)
