I have a big soft spot of Dior at the moment – their products are just glamourous and high quality, and generally work very well for me.

I bought this Dior Skinflash Radiance Booster, because along with tints, radiance pens are my other new obsession.

They say:

Professional “lightworks” – in a flash. Just one click and stroke of this lightweight, skin perfector instantly diminishes shadows, fine lines, and imperfections. Skin glows with new radiance. Wear it under or over foundation – or on bare skin.

This pen comes in three shades and comes in a silver clicky pen and in a pouch. I actually hate those pouches because they are no use to me, but I can’t bring myself to throw them away, so intead the cat chews on it, digests some of the fluff, throws up a hairball, usually at the foot of my bed, I get up in the morning and….

In many ways, once could say there are tons and tons of these products due to the presence of YSL Touche Eclat. Some people I know just don’t like Touch Eclat for whatever reason – and those that don’t tend to name the Dior Skinflash as a good alternative.

Apparently this doesn’t get the ‘vinegary’ smell like Touche Eclat does – I have to agree there.

The shades:

I got candlelight which is a pale yellow.

The pen works as all the other pen concealer type products do. A few clicks and the right amount of product comes out:

Before (excuse my lashes. This review was ready months ago when I still had extensions in! They had started to fall out at this point):

This product is medium thick – it feels similar to Touch Eclat, perhaps a touch thicker. It’s easy to blend in and doesn’t cling to any dry bits I have.

Pat pat pat. Ok so the colour is a tad ashy on me, I think. However, it certainly boosts and lightens as it says it will – it can be used on other areas too, like around the nose, fine lines etc. Anywhere that needs a touch of highlight!

Verdict:

All in all a really high quality product that is a good alternative if you aren’t a fan of the YSL Touche Eclat. It doesn’t get stinky after a while either!

Looks nice :) Wonder how is the 1st shade, that one would probably suit me. :)
How does it looks on photos taken with flash? Is there a visible line or it completely blends in? :)

It blends in quite well but you do need to choose the right shade, nothing too light

Do you prefer this one or the YSL one?

Thanks for posting this… really helpful. It would have great to see the photo of the shades as a comparison. However, I think I will probably go for the candlelight too…
