It seems to me that quite a few of my readers and also other bloggers have lots tons of weight by joining Slimming World. Let me tell you know that the idea of anything like a slimming club complete with weigh ins scare me! I’ve never ever considered it before until now…

It’s great hearing about what real women have managed to lose by joining a club. According to their website I can lose 10 pounds before my holiday! That would be amazing…but I don’t know if I am brave enough.

I mean…remember this?…

Has anyone else had experiences with a slimming club, and if so what results have you had?

I think its a definite YAY! A friend of mine lost 4.5 stone on Slimming World last year, I lost a stone and gave up. This time round, I’m quite determined to be a skinny minny for my wedding……I’m re-joining next week. Eek! x

I used to go to Slimming World meetings with my mum and they seemed fine, but it was all really old women – I can’t imagine going myself, because at 24 I’m not going to fit in at all.

Ah I can imagine that there may be older ladies! (I am also in my 20s) although I’m not really looking to socialize with anyone…as long as we’re all nice to each other thats ok with me!

Hollymix – I’m only 25…….there are a lot of old biddies at meetings, but my theory is that older folk have more time to be at home and do cooking/making up recipes etc which they can then pass on to me and make my life easier :)

I joined Slimming World years ago and lost lots of weight. The cottage pie with swede on top is lovely on a red day :)

Back when I was a lodger I had a landlady who did slimming world. The whole red/green day thing looked really complicated to me, and I think the concept of counting ‘sins’ (I remember that broccoli is apparently 1 ‘sin’) is unhealthy from a mental point of view.
That’s not to say it doesn’t work for those who can get their heads around it, it just wouldn’t work for me.

My colleague does slimming world and has lost loads of weight but his lunch everyday consists of 2 rivita things, a banana, peach and a plum! EK!, you might lose a lot of weight but he looks grey and tired, your holiday snaps might suffer!

Buy some matcha powder and drink it 2-3 times a day and eat little but often, I’m not one of those naturally slim girls but i do this and maintain under 8 stone! (im 4″6)

NNNNNNOOOOOOOOOO U want to eat real food

To be honest, I think losing weight purely based on food is cheating a bit – exercise! That is the real key but what can I say, it’s probably less effort to change diet than exercise.

I have a friend who did weightwatchers, she lost tons of weight, about 5 stone but she was very pale and grey when I saw her. She didn’t look toned or have a glow – this comes with exercise right? grrr I guess I know that’s the real answer.

Anyway I have ordered some Matcha powder now! :D I will do this my mum always moans at me to drink more hot drinks throughout the day (like clear teas, not with added milk) x

I don’t know what that slimming world is, but it’s not healthy to lose weight quickly, you should take it slow! it’s better for your health and that way it’s more possible to maintain your ideal weight! :)

That’s true….I am sure the body wasn’t supposed to lose 1 stone a month!
