As soon as I saw the advert for the Ettusais Melty Touch Lipsticks at the beginning of the year, I wanted them. But they were far too expensive on eBay and on online retailers so I skipped until they turned up for $17.99 each on Facial Shop.

Cor! Who doesn’t want a lipstick with gunge dripping out of it!

This limited edition lipstick comes in a few colour variations, Rose, Pink, Beige, Red, Orange.

Here is the lipstick. For some reason the packaging reminds me of cows, mooooooo. I think cos it’s white with brown patches. I love the packaging anyway, its clear in a retro case:

When I see this, I think “dairy”.

The lid is clear, so you can see the colour inside. I decided to not go for my usual rose and beige choices and went for Red instead.

Now, to deal with the issue of the dripping core….It doesn’t actually drip. Dang!

No – instead, the core is a sheer gloss, with a soft jelly texture filled with glitter! The two parts are joined together, they just blend as you apply.

The texture of this lipstick is very soft, and very glossy. It’s not that pigmented and certainly not very red – more like a cool toned baby pink on me. I’m not too disappointed because I love the shade anyway but if you want an actual red, this is not the one.

A closer look:

I really really like this lipstick. Not only does it look good, it feels so lovely on my dry lips.

I can’t say they’d be much variation in the shades though – I have red which looks pink, so pink and rose will probably be quite similar and I’ve just ordered beige…so I’ve probably covered all the shades I can get from this range!

Swatch:

I dunno – I think it just makes my lips look healthy which makes a change:

I have my eye on Orange too, and then that will do me as far as this lipstick collection is concerned. Its gorgeous, I hope they make it permanent at some point (not that I’ll ever finish a lipstick anyway).

What do you think of this lipstick?

Doesn’t come out at all like you’d expect it to, but gorgeous all the same! I love a new gimmick and a “dripping core” is certainly a new one for me! Seriously though, I love sheer and moisturising lipsticks – my current favourites are YSL Gloss Volupte, have a post on my blog about them.x

I was going to buy this the other day but I am not too sure with the color selection. Being a pink lippy girl, I would have preferred a pinkier tone option.

I think its kinda cute with the jelly atuff inside, somewhat different but nice =)
