The Face Shop is a Korean brand with some really interesting one off products.  I find their Korean site very hard to navigate though so it’s tricky for me to see all the products they offer in one place. I did spot these Real Diamond (allegedly contains a small amount of diamond powder!) on eBay and decided to buy a few.

I ABSOLUTELY adore sparkly glosses at this time of year!

I bought PK101 which is a light sheer pink with silver sparkles and BR801 which is a nude beige with softer silver sparkles. All of the colours from the range appeared to be sheer to me with just a slight tint.

The applicator is extremely interesting! Have you seen another one in this shape? It’s sponge with a hourglass shape which is super handy for applying glosses.  It works really well actually, and fits the lips nicely.

These range is heavily perfumed; it smells like sweets and tutti frutti. I don’t like it, not because it isn’t nice, it’s just because I don’t like strong smelling scent in any type of make up.

Swatches – both shades are very sheer with tons of sparkle. The sparkle is not as striking as in a MAC Dazzleglass, it’s finer;

I have been using these for a few weeks and I like them; they are medium thick, and a little bit sticky but in a good way, so they stay in place.

However; the problem is that they are really sheer, I don’t see much of a tint going on which makes it a gloss with sparkle and not too much else. I also like the applicator but the scent is too strong.

BR101 is warmer than the pink and more flattering on my colouring:

Pink is cool and there’s a very prominent silver sparkle to it.

They’re not a zillion miles away from each other though!
I think these diamond glosses are worth purchasing if you like very sparkly, but fine glitter, sweet smells and a easy to wear lip gloss. I don’t feel inspired by them tough so wouldn’t buy any more necessarily.
I paid about £8 each for these from eBay.
Do you like glitter glosses?

One of my old-time favourite glosses was one of those L’oreal 3d ones with the heart shaped wands, it was baby pink with super fine sparkles and not too scented…reminds me I should repurchase perhaps, perfect for xmas!
