My addiction to Skinfood lives on, although it may be stalled for a little while as Royal Mail prepare to strike – International Packages take a helluva long time in these circumstances and I am very impatient. *sobs*

Anyway – I spotted these Choco Melt Lip Tube Glosses in 5 colours so bought two as they were only about £5 each:

I got no 3 x Peach Coral and 4 x Lovely Pink.

All Skinfood products are supposed to have some kind of food related benefit, (ie. Salmon Concealer has fish oils, Broccoli Sunscreen has sulforaphane (a natural SPF).

These lip glosses have the chocolate scent – possible benefits:

* The smell of chocolate may increase theta brain waves, resulting in relaxation.
* Chocolate contains phenyl ethylamine, a mild mood elevator.

Got it? Get it? Good?

Having said that, I hate badly scented or excessively fake chocolate skincare or make up. And, come to think of it, scented lip glosses are just stupid – its like having scented eyeshadow. But I digress.

This is Peach Coral which looks more like a hot red/orange.

The packaging is a matte textured tube with a wooden lid. Its quite cute – the gloss is pretty sheer but with a bit of pigment in it. It does indeed smell like chocolate, a warming hot chocolate kind of smell – not Green & Blacks mind you, more of an Asda Hot Chocolate:

Its pretty sheer on the lips. Has a mild plumping effect. Meh:

This is the Pink – nice and barbie like:

This also contains Jojoba oil to moisturise the lips. Its pretty much shimmer free:

I prefer the pink on my lips:

Verdict:

As pretty as these glosses are for me, its a bit plain. Its still a lovely gloss, it smells great and gives a nice everyday look but as I have so many, many real knock-em-dead lip glosses, its hard to get about something which is more middling.

Check back soon for my review of the Skinfood Garlic Face Cream!
