Its the party season! Well not for me. I avoid Christmas parties like the plague. But if I did show up to parties, I would would be dunking myself in glitter so I sparkled like a disco ball.
I was sent one of these Barry M Lash Glitters to try, rather apt for Xmas:
This blue is a lovely electric blue shade. It comes in a handy pen thing rather than traditional mascara form:
This kind of packaging always reminds me of Ruby & Millie lip glosses – one of the first expensive beauty products I ever bought!
A few things are crossing my mind – is it easy to apply? Its it glittery enough? Will it look good and not too teenage?
The answer, my friend, is after the jump…The packaging I quite like but I generally like automatic brush applicators. You can control how much product comes out too, although, I guess it can make things the lashes a little harder to separate especially if you accidently put on a big glob of glitter. Possibly, a wand is easier to control so its not too clumpy:
Its very densely packed with glitter! I have other glitter mascaras and they tend to be a little bit gel-like and the glitter doesn’t show up properly. With this product, it shows up nicely:
I had put on about 5 coats of mascara for another post so excuse my clumpy lashes, but you can see the glitter on here – its pretty noticeable, more so than other ones I have tried in the past:
Its not “subtle sparkly” glittery though, the chunks are more obvious than that. So its not for the subtle Tinkerbell look, if you know what I mean, more like Tinkerbell’s 25 Stone cousin who wears Doc Martens.
Erm. But don’t let that put you off.
Verdict:
This is a fun product as opposed to a must have but if you want glitter lashes or tips, then its a pretty nifty thing to buy and it shows up more than any other glitter lash product I have tried in the past.
I would recommend having the lash comb ready especially if you are using quite a few coats of mascara first so you don’t end up with a hot mess.
You can buy one here for £4.95, it comes in various colours.

Ooooooh Super glittery, but quite sophisticated looking for a glitter. Not 100% struck on the applicator, surely a traditional wand would have been better?

All I have to say is DAAAANG. Those colors are POPPIN’! I don’t think a traditional wand would bring out the intensity of the glitter. Surely there is a technique or special way of using this
