Popped by the local Nars counter to look at the new collection. Its very nice – all smokey browns, gold, all extremely flattering. However I was more enticed by a lovely selection of limited edition goodies.
The Black eyes set (£44):
Includes full sized items – Persepolis Eyeshadow Due, Mascara in Black, Eyeliner in Black, Eye Make Up Remover.
From the set, Persepolis, a sheer shimmery white and matte black:
This set is supposed to help you create the perfect smokey eye – by blending the white and black together you can also make shades of grey!
I love Persepolis – I’ve always bypassed it because with the amazing colours on sale at Nars, I never thought to buy a basic black and white but I can see this being a very useful duo. The black is very pigmented and soft.
The new NARS curler (£15):
My SA tells me its better than Shu! I’ll be the judge of that…and I say…
Yup – its a fantastic curler. My Shu’s have been pulling lately and hurting my eyes. These are a nice flat shape and fit well around my Asian eyes. Also, it only took a pump or two to get them nicely curled and these should last for at least a year!
From the 2008 collection, the lipstick in Beautiful Liar. Its a light coral-red with lots of shimmer. I noticed right away the texture was really soft and light. Even though it is sheer there is enough colour in it to show up:
This lipstick has a new texture apparently and it shows – my lips were a little dry especially after the Semi – Matte formula. No problems with this when it comes new fomula. Its a great colour too.
And then…oooh oooh. I have never seen this palette before in my life, but the moment I saw it it was LOVE:
This neutral eye palette consists of All About Eve, Belissima and Kalhari.
I already have AAE, but its so nice to have all these colours together! I hope NARS do more of these smaller handy sets – I prefer the shadow ones to the lip combos for sure.
