Did you know you can buy DHC online in the UK? The range is much smaller than in the Japan of course, but the prices are pretty reasonable! I was sent this to try out, and to be honest it wasn’t very exciting…I did put it to the side and forget about it (accidentally) until I need something to use in the shower!

DHC Olive Corn Body Scrub 2

DHC Olive Corn Body Scrub and Polish is a elegantly packaged and is a reasonable £12 for 200g.  I am wary of body scrubs because some are seriously harsh and drying – some others don’t have enough scrub particles meaning it doesn’t really do much exfoliating.

First off, there’s something really pleasing about the slightly flat tube shape. It fits nicely in the hand, it’s sort of pleasing to squeeze product out off, like you can be quite generous with it. I hate products that don’t slide easily out the tube…sounds daft but in the shower I can’t be having a tube that slides out of my hands…

The scrub is a beige colour with scrub particles throughout:

Do you remember Blue Corn (or was it Cornflour?) Scrub and Mask from The Body Shop? It smells just like that. Sort of like baby powder and lavender and corn.  It’s not unpleasing, but it is a bit old fashioned.

The scrub has a great texture – it glides over the body and has lots of scrub – also it’s nice and exfoliating and as long as you aren’t too harsh, it’s fine.

I really like this product!  The other thing about this which is great is that it has a foaming, soapy quality so its definitely 2 in 1.

DHC Olive Corn Body Scrub Polish Review

Ingredients: Water, sodium trideceth sulfate, olea europaea (olive) fruit oil, zea mays (corn) cob powder, sodium lauroamphoacetate, cocamide MEA, sodium chloride, butylene glycol laurate, phenoxyethanol, citric acid, lavandula angustifolia (lavender) oil, guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride, ceteareth-60 myristyl glycol, tocopherol, disodium EDTA, linalool

I’ve been using this none stop (whoops) cos I am addicted to the foamy-scrubby texture – really handy!

I would definitely buy this once I’ve finished this tube. I reckon with usage 2-3 times a week it’d last 2 months max.

Buy the product here.

Hi Jamilla!

It’s easy to forget DHC sometimes. I love their cherry range though, but I think that’s Japan only!

Hi Rowena!
It’s pretty reasonable here – drugstore prices, mostly.
