I had a lovely manicure at Errol Douglas a few weeks back and the lady who did my nails used Seche Vite Top Coat – amazingly enough, my manicure (and I hate having my nails done – it always destroys my cuticles) stayed and stayed.
I went out and bought this right away and have used it twice since – yes, its fabulous. I am currently sporting this with my Mavala nail polish in Juicy (a hot pink) and its not budged AT ALL for 15 days. Ridiculous, its a world record.
It may not just be down to this top coat, of course – the Mavala is a lovely polish too but nevertheless, for a nail polish dunce like myself, this product is a revelation. Now, I need to find the best base coat out there – any recommendations?

Oh, it is the best one I tried so far! The finish is amazing, it’s glass-like and it lasts and lasts and lasts. The only thing is it gets gloopy within 3 months of use and in hot weather application becomes quite a challenge but it’s one of those products where you can actually get away with a really thick application so not much of a problem really. Oh, and your nails are touch dry within a minute or two. Love it!

Hi Medina
I totally agree. My nails have lasted with Seche Vite and are so glassy. I find most top coats go dull after a short while so this is a total win. It also smells quite good for a top coat!

Barielle make the best base coats imo. And they make my nails lovely and strong, when they’re usually weak and farrr too flexible. Grr.

Hey Naz!
I love Barielle too, they make some really good quality stuff. Whats your favourite Barielle product?

Lately it has to be the Nail Strengthening Cream and the Growth Base Coat. I’ve never had such strong nails, not even when I was taking Biotin! Of course, the added bonus is that I manage to get my Barielle goodies at my local TK Maxx!
