I went down to Nars on my lunch the other day to look at the new collection – and its pretty nice. I came away with two items, Silk Road Duo and Mekong Single Eyeshadow.
I also got some gossip about upcoming Nars goodies, the new foundations in matte and satin (which have already been reported around the web), new Mascaras, Liquid felt tip liners and new multiple highlighter (hurrah!). The Christmas collections also sound fab – mini multiples?! Oh yeah!

Silk road is a nude duo – I never splash out on Nudes but Nars does those pale nudes so well. One side is a light peach with shimmers, the other is a very glittery darker beige – peach:
Mekong is a rich espresso brown – not chocolate with is creamy, glittery and gorgeous – in a similar line to the Night Series eyeshadows. It’s a real ‘cor’ kinda colour – reminds me what separates the amazing brands and the good ones:
I did this look on saturday, just with the two shadows names above. As you can see Mekong is actually quite a dark blackish brown:
I loved the new lipstick too, Fast Ride a deep purple but being sensible, I knew I wouldn’t wear a purple lipstick very much although the texture was a big improvement on the older, somewhat drying lipsticks:
I have Bobbi Browns new Nude Creamy Lip Colour on my lips, in Nude Blush.

Ahhh Rowena! I love the way you done your eye shadow! Whoah Mekong comes out a lot diff than I imagined compared to the colour in the pan

Yes I agree its quite a black brown although it can be patted on for more of a true gold-brown-black

Mekong is actually a blackish brown! But it is quite nice too!
