Coffret D’or Bright Up Rouge Creamy Long Lasting Lipstick (a mouthful) is one of CD’s newest lip colour releases.
This lip colour is a creamy liquid lipstick, with a very soft texture and is supposed to stay put on the lips. I randomly chose RS-269 which is a warm rose – in hindsight I should’ve went for a cooler toned mauve rose (one of my favourite types of shades ever) but there you go, I am trying new things this year!
The packaging looks like this – a very smart looking tube with a sponge applicator:
I love the idea of liquid lip colours because you get that softness and hydration to it and colour too.
I like the Coffret D’or sponge applicator, it’s quite flat and fits the curve of the lips nicely.
Despite the fact this is supposed to be like a lipstick, it’s not as opaque as I thought it’d be which is a shame. It still leaves a semi-opaque glossy finish to the lips which is quite grown up and pretty. It lasted around 3/4 hours on me which isn’t a very long time, decent for a glossy lipstick but hardly longwearing. I also didn’t see any stain left over on my lips.
On the lips:
This wasn’t the cheapest lip colour (around £20), so because it’s not that opaque or long lasting, I won’t be buying any more of these even if I am quite fond of this one.
What do you think of this lip colour?
