The other day I decided that I wanted some Lychee themed products so bought this cute lip and cheek duo and this Essence Mist for my dry and damaged hair…
My hair at the moment, is starting to look a bit more human, although its still very dry – I had colour put on it a few months back and it got far too light thus stripping a lot of its health. I am kicking myself now because I wanted to grow it long…
Anyway. Repair is the name of the game.
They say:
Made with Vitamin-rich Lychee Extracts, moisturizes and softens hair damaged by frequent dyeing or perms. Replenishes hair with protein and Panthenol without scalp irritation.
This stuff smells delicious and it works pretty nicely on the hair – it adds moisture and shine but its very light – I find a lot of conditioning leave in treatments are too heavy but this is just barely there.
My hair is frizzy – it’s actually fine but there’s lots of it as opposed to full on thick. I’m not sure how this would work who have thick curly manes…this product just seems so light in comparison.
I use it when my hair is dry as opposed to wet although it works both ways on wet or dry hair. I prefer it as a booster to control the frizz and keep things soft.
Overall, this is a really nice, non greasy hair moisturizing product I’d recommend for most hair textures. It smells lovely and its affordable — about £8 for 100ml.

I was skeptical ordering the “shielo hydrate mist” for my hair and even more so when I first sprayed it on my hair, but I was pleasantly surprised. It does seem to freshen up your hair and give it a cleaner look.
My hair was already “day and a half old” but it was not greasy looking after using, just had a nice shine. It does “wet” the hair somewhat so I do have to blow dry afterwards (where as some re-freshening mists are dry and do not require drying). I even gave a few squirts to my face after applying my moisturizer and it gave my skin a nice soft glow.
