Well (stateside) a fry-up can include any and all of the following: pancakes, griddlecakes, hashbrowns, bacon, sausages, eggs (either fried, scrambled or in an omelet), toast, home fries, grits; notably absent are the beans, black pudding, tomatoes and mushrooms that I’m assuming are common to UK fry-ups.
You would be right. We have toast, bacon, sausage, eggs, beans, tomato, (not many people do black pudding) – I do miss Hashbrowns, not that many places will include them and they are my favourite.
Well, if the past year was any indication, my guess is: ‘horizontally’. I really need to cut down on the fry-ups.
Mm i love fry ups. What counts as a fry up in the US?
Happy CNY Row!
