Tutorial: Hot Pink Lips & Glossy Eyes

I have been so busy my pretties, but I feel like I have been neglecting you so here is a quickie (tutorial, that is).

The look is very simple – hot pink lips with simple, glossy eyes.

I used:

Bobbi Brown Gel Liner in Black (love this)
Illamasqua Lip Pencil in Spell
Nars Lipgloss in Triple X
Nars Lipstick in Schiap
Purple Dot Lip Brush
Illamasqua Eyeliner Brush

All you need really is a pink/red lip liner, a hot pink lipstick and clear gloss.

First, get a lip scrub and slough off any dead skin – bright lip colours really show up dryness. I used a random scrub, this one is garden botanika, but you can even use a bit of sugar mixed with your lip balm:

Lips ready:

Draw a lip line:

Fill it in:

Now get your bright lip colour and fill it in using a brush. Blot when you are done:

Move to your eyes – curl lashes and apply a coat or two of mascara:

Get your gel liner and line underneath the lashes to add some definition:

Next, apply the clear gloss to your lids – just a bit will do. Try to get a non sticky gloss and obviously not one with plumping properties! (I found it harder than expected to find one that was non stick and wasn’t a volumizing type).

If your eyes are red use a little concealer.

Nar’s Schiap lipstick is so gorgeous but pretty drying. On lips like mine I HAVE to use lip balm first and a little lip balm on top makes things a little more comfortable.
