Highlighter is now as much a make up staple as concealer – I would call myself a semi highlighter fan. Yes, I buy the occasional one because it looks interesting. But it’s not my favourite “thing”. My sweet cousin heard me say I like liquid highlighters and that Topshop was soon releasing a small collection and she surprised me with one in the shade, “Blaze”, a pinkish highlight. There’s also a pale pearl white and golden glow in the range:

You don’t get a huge bottle but it is enough, in my case, for a year probably. Who manages to finish highlighter? Not me! It is a handy size to carry around though and the dropper works fine – at least you can control how much you use.
Blaze is the most pink of the 3 liquid highlighters, but when you swatch, it is paler than it looks in the container. It is like a light shell pearl pink with hints of gold. The texture is a thickish liquid – it isn’t super thin or a cream, it’s somewhere in the middle and just right – it’s easy to spread and blends in without lines because it doesn’t dry super fast.
When I swatched this on my hand I thought the colour was nice but the glow wasn’t too strong.
Anyway, the magic comes alive with this product when applied to the face. This can be mixed in with some foundation or separately – I tried both techniques and both work really well.
You don’t need a huge amount of this – just dot a tiny amount for both sides of your face.
I found this gave me a super glowing look – very luminous, and glowing. I really liked the this products, the more I use it the more I like it over powder (easy to over apply) and creams (can look heavy).
On my cheekbone:
This liquid highlighter costs £12.50 and you can buy it here. I think this shade is perfect for me, I don’t feel need to buy the other two colours really, but if you have tried them, let me know your thoughts!
