I am out of sheet masks. Because I don’t buy that many sheet masks. But I need to.
Devoid of regular facials and devoid of the time to give myself facial massages or whatever, I can find 10 minutes to slap a sheet on and make myself feel like I am having some me time. I recently decided – I can’t remember the occasion but there must’ve been a reason like, FRIDAY NIGHT, to treat myself and use this expensive Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Concentrated Recovery Powerful Mask – yes it is a PR sample but it’s not every day you make yourself look like the tin man.
This luxury sheet mask comes from the Advanced Night Repair family, which of course is their well known night serum. So it’s like getting an intensive dose of that – indeed, I was not going to waste any of the serum that came with this mask.
This mask has a foil backing which is supposed to help the serum sink in faster and lock in moisture. I don’t know about that but what it did seem to do was hold the serum in well and also generate some heat which of course helps the skin feel softer.
There is also hyaluronic acid in this to make the skin feel really moisturised and a double dose of ANR.
Fit wise, you can see in my pic that there was a bit of puckering on the forehead and around the nose. It’s almost impossible to make a mask that perfect fits every single face sha[e and with this one being more rigid that one that is purely cloth, this is bound to happen.
So anyway it says leave this on for 10 minutes – I left it on for as long as I could, something like an hour THEN I took the remaining serum and rubbed it over my arms, chest and so on.
It is a rather nice sheet mask – one of the better ones I have tried. No allergies – my skin looked healthy, soft and glowing. No complaints there and it looked nice and fresh the next day too. Because of the price I would save this for a special occasion personally but if you can afford it, I would use it 3 times a week!
(Note: The kids were asleep so I missed out on the change to freak them out with this mask. Next time…)
You can buy it here for £16.50.
