Nars American Dream Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches

Nars-American-Dream-Eyeshadow-Palette-Review-1.jpg

Tweet My final Nars Artist Palette to review is the American Dream palette.  Of all the palettes I purchased (or got Mr C to purchase!) this was the one I was the most excited about getting in the post.   The palette is quite shimmery with the exception of Bali which is a neutral matte brown. But more about the shade later.

Nars Pleasures of Paris Palette (Douceurs de Paris) Review & Swatches

Nars-Pleasures-of-Paris-Palette.jpg

Tweet Now on to my third palette this week for review; Pleasures of Paris / Douceurs de Paris.  As mentioned in previous posts, I collect these Nars artists palettes, and I do really like them for their handy size and usually – winning combinations.   As always Nars features colours from other Duos or Solos.  I quite like how they do this as generally – not always – they pick the stronger colour of the duos!  Pleasures of Paris is {Read More}

A neutral eyeshadow palette! Stila In The Light Eyeshadow Palette Swatches

Stila-In-The-Light-Eyeshadow-Palette-Swatches.jpg

Tweet Stila was such a huge brand crush for me all those years ago when it first launched in the UK.  I remember going to Selfridges with my friend and worshipping over the lip glazes – since we were both students then there as no way we could afford £20 for a lip gloss. Now that Stila has been relaunched in the UK I till feel nostalgia when I see a convertible colour or a lip glaze. They recently released {Read More}

Hmm not sure: Nars Danmari All About Cheeks Blusher Palette Review and Swatches

Nars-Danmari-All-About-Cheeks-Blusher-Palette-.jpg

Tweet One of my birthday presents from Mr C was Nars’ limited edition blush palette, named Danmari.  I used to collect Nars make up, these days less so but as soon as I saw this palette I knew I had to have it. It comes in a lovely gift box (as a side note the Nars website sends products extremely well packaged, in cardboard boxes that have foam stuck to them on the inside).   The palette then sits inside {Read More}

Eyes of the Day: Visee Blackish Forming Eyes Eyeshadow Palette in B-5

Tweet Sometimes I get the urge to buy a palette that I missed out on on when it was first released. In this case it was Kose’s Visee Blackish Forming Eyes in B-5: Visee palettes are quite nice – sometimes great, sometimes just average.  The Blackish Forming Eyes Eyeshadow Palettes are quite interesting because it’s quite rare that Japanese brands will have such bold, deep colours on offer.

Hauled It: Paul & Joe Self Select Eye Shadow Swatches, Free Gift, and a rant

Paul-Joe-Eye-Colour-Palette-Select-Eyeshadows.jpg

Tweet The last time I was at a Paul & Joe counter, I wrote about how the SA shadowed my every step until I gave in a purchased all the items she wanted me to.  This time, I was in the same store (Fenwicks, London) but the staff were new and they totally different. I was excited, so excited about going to a Paul & Joe counter to pick some Select Eyeshadows for a palette.  I am mad for custom {Read More}

Review: Boots No. 7 Limited Edition Palettes Stone & Canvas

Tweet Boots No. 7 has brought out two limited edition palettes for Autumn, in Stone & Canvas – two large, cardboard palettes that come with 4 complimentary shades and a soft pencil for £14.00 each. A few key things here: 1. I hate boxy cardboard packaging, without exception. 2. Boots No. 7 is hit or miss. 3. This palette is £14.00 but you’ll never actually pay that cos there’s always a 3 for 2 or a £5 off voucher for {Read More}

Tweet This weeks competition is for a double tiered Rimmel Palette, which has 15 eyeshadows, 2 cheek colours and a face powder, and four cream lip colours: Doesn’t do it justice, the shadows are very shimmery and metallic.
