Orange is the colour of spring 2011 baby, and I love it! It’s not my favourite colour but I’d say it was in the top 5. I bought this Follow Me Tint to try – they already have a blue one out which turns pink and that is lovely! This one is already orange (boo!) […]
I always get excited when trying out a brand that is totally new to me. I got a selection of cosmetics from Artistry to try. I’ve never heard of the range before but it is supposed to be a skincare and colour cosmetics company – more about them here. The packaging is simple stuff: So […]
This is the first thing I have tried from Lord & Berry! Lord & Berry is a fashion house who have created a cosmetics range that focuses on lip and eye make up that works for women of all ethnic origins. They also have some base products and make up brushes! I was sent this […]
Along with the Dramatic Memory Rouge colours I also purchased two lipsticks called Star Glow Rouge from Lavshuca! I love to try out their new formula lipsticks! Star Glow Rouge comes in 12 colours and is supposed to be like a gloss and a lipstick rolled into one with a nice shine and ‘brilliant’ finish. […]
Needless to say, with all the make up that I see and play with there’s not much on your average make up counter that gets me excited, but when I saw the new Shiseido spring collection, I was just coo-ing (see the colours at the end of the post!). Alas I was dragged away from […]
I have already reviewed the YSL Rouge Pur Couture lipsticks and eas please to see some new additions to the range! They are: N° 23 – Corail Poétique N° 24 – Blond Ingénu N° 25 – Taupe Raphaël N° 26 – Rose Liberti N° 27 – Fuchsia Innocent N° 28 – Rose Bohème I like […]
Mod Squad is an uber nude retro shade, a pale pale pink: I have to admit I am a sucker for this kind of shade even though it’s a difficult colour to wear. I love it though! What do you think? Too nude?
Wanna? from Benefit’s Full Finish lipstick range looks like a hot pink in the tube: On me, it because a soft purple pink! Quite unusual but pretty nevertheless: I just don’t wear dramatic lip shades that much though. What do you think?
I Think I Love You from Benefit is a brown-plum-shimmery shade: It doesn’t look that hot in the tube but it actually looks quite nice on my lips (I think!) sort of a muted brown plum. Goes to show it’s worth trying a colour on your lips. What do you think?
Benefit full finish lipstick in Pinking of You is a nude, shimmer free pale colour. It works out to be quite a creamy nude pink on me, quite wearable although you need a few coats to get even coverage: I imagine on a fairer girl the pink would be richer toned. What do you think […]
Pinking Of You wouldn’t be my first choice of the Benefit pink – it’s sort of a sorbet pink, the kind of shade I imagine would look gorgeous on blondes but fade into nothing on me. Actually it’s not bad, and more pigmented than I expected – I wouldn’t call it full finish though, whilst […]
Flirt Alert is indeed a flirty shade, an extremely hot orange red: I think this is lovely on the lips with high coverage but not too creamy and gooey, thus less prone to smudging: What do you think?
There are many things Lavshuca do well, but lip products isn’t really one of them (I think). Nevertheless, I decided to order one of their mini Jewelry Lipsticks in WN-1, a wine shade (There are two versions of this lipstick, Sheer in a pink tube – rubbish, Color in a purple tube – better and […]
Candydoll is a cute Japanese brand focused on the Gyaru look. Their range isn’t very big, it’s cute though, but a bit cheap and plastic-y looking (especially the blushers!). Even so, I did a little haul of their lipsticks (there are only three in the range, Vanilla Beige, Ramune Pink and Pink Lemonade.). I missed […]
This is what happens when you wander round Boots during an idle lunch break – shopping! Can you imagine in Boots stocked Nars? Or Guerlain? or Bobbi Brown? I’ll have a lipstick with my Turkey Sandwich, please. I’ve realised that I have a thing for lip products; lipstick and lip gloss and lip balm. Actually […]
ELF has a range of Lipsticks, simply called “Lipstick” that comes in 6 shades and costs just £1.50 each. They say: Indulge your lips with long lasting colour and shine. The moisture rich formula hydrates, conditions and softens on contact for silky smooth lips. When it comes to lipstick I will spend a pretty penny […]
Following my previous post discussing (this is starting to sound like a work email) the YSL Rouge Pur Couture lipsticks, observe ladies – lip swatches! I can’t fault the appearance and formula of these lovely lipsticks. YSL have got the lipsticks DOWN, just like Dior has the mascaras DOWN and Chanel has the lip glosses […]
Hope you are ready for a picture-tastic post as these YSL Rouge Pur Couture Lipsticks! I am a bit slow getting these up, but it’s totally worth it! YSL Rouge Pur Couture is the newest lipstick to the YSL family. I do think YSL have the nicest high end lipsticks out there (in the Western […]
NYX Lipsticks are so brill for the price – I purchased (quite a while ago, mind!) three lipsticks to add to my extensive collection. I bought Snow White, Sierra and Narcissus. Whilst I really like these creamy, pigmented lipsticks I have to say the packaging is just so so. It’s not the way it looks […]
If you follow my Twitter you will know I agonised over a parcel sent from Hong Kong containing my beautiful Cle De Peau Lipstick which had gone missing. I was worried because I’ve had quite a few things go missing recently, especially post from abroad without any tracking information. It’s seriously frustrating because all you […]
