On my last trip down to London, I visited the Mary Quant shop where I spotted the matching lipstick and nail polishes! Now – not every lipstick (there are about 36 shades) has a matching polish but a lot of them do. That means you can get all matchy-matchy, if you want! I won’t lie […]
Rimmel London’s Kate Moss Lipstick collection was mighty popular the last time I passed a Boots counter; the nudes in particular seemed to be sold out. However I don’t think the range is Limited so there’s no rush! Image; Kate Moss photographs so well (obviously): I have some lip swatches for you. I haven’t […]
Who could miss Kate Moss’ lipstick collection for Rimmel London a few weeks back? The Lipstick Collection contains 7 Shades in black packaging with a Kate signature and heart, and the lipsticks have numbers not names; 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and curiously, 8 and 12. There’s a good selection of shades, from red, pinks, […]
Skinfood make up is hit and miss, trust me, and I’ve never though much of their lip products. When I spotted these super cute, fairly new-ish lipstick range called Vita Tok I just had to buy a few to try cos I like the name. Vita TOK. TOK. TOKS! TOCKS! You know like: Don’t think […]
A few months ago I purchased a load of goodies from Anna Sui – such a pretty make up range but quite hard to purchase over here in the UK. I bought 2 of the lipsticks. Anna Sui Lipsticks come in various textures, indicated in the name, as a lot of Japanese brands tend to […]
Etude House LUCIDarling lip glosses and lipsticks are rather lovely – I’ve tried a few shades before, and they’re pretty pigmented and hydrating. I bought 2 lipsticks and 2 lip glosses, I wanted a cool toned mauve and a reds. I’ve come to realise I buy more lipsticks than lip glosses – I guess it’s […]
So I have a bit of a thing for hot pink lips, I find the preferable to hot red lips so I purchased this rather lovely looking lipstick from the Hourglass range – it’s called Fever.. I don’t have much make up from Hourglass but I know it’s quite pricy but is good quality too. […]
It’s Monday, Monday, so let’s start the week with a BANG! And that bang is a hot red lipstick from Elizabeth Arden’s Ceramide Ultra Range. This lipstick provides a pigmented finish with moisturising colour. It also plumps the lips and leaves a shiny finish. It also contains Tahtian Gardenia, Shea Butter and vitamins A, C […]
Earlier today I swatched some of the L’oreal Made for Me Intense colours, now I have 3 of the naturals – once again divided up into Blondes, Light Brunettes and Brunettes: Even though there are these guidelines (which kinda make sense) rules are made to be broken! The naturals range is a set of pale […]
Orange is the colour of spring 2011 baby, and I love it! It’s not my favourite colour but I’d say it was in the top 5. I bought this Follow Me Tint to try – they already have a blue one out which turns pink and that is lovely! This one is already orange (boo!) […]
I always get excited when trying out a brand that is totally new to me. I got a selection of cosmetics from Artistry to try. I’ve never heard of the range before but it is supposed to be a skincare and colour cosmetics company – more about them here. The packaging is simple stuff: So […]
This is the first thing I have tried from Lord & Berry! Lord & Berry is a fashion house who have created a cosmetics range that focuses on lip and eye make up that works for women of all ethnic origins. They also have some base products and make up brushes! I was sent this […]
Along with the Dramatic Memory Rouge colours I also purchased two lipsticks called Star Glow Rouge from Lavshuca! I love to try out their new formula lipsticks! Star Glow Rouge comes in 12 colours and is supposed to be like a gloss and a lipstick rolled into one with a nice shine and ‘brilliant’ finish. […]
Needless to say, with all the make up that I see and play with there’s not much on your average make up counter that gets me excited, but when I saw the new Shiseido spring collection, I was just coo-ing (see the colours at the end of the post!). Alas I was dragged away from […]
I have already reviewed the YSL Rouge Pur Couture lipsticks and eas please to see some new additions to the range! They are: N° 23 – Corail Poétique N° 24 – Blond Ingénu N° 25 – Taupe Raphaël N° 26 – Rose Liberti N° 27 – Fuchsia Innocent N° 28 – Rose Bohème I like […]
Mod Squad is an uber nude retro shade, a pale pale pink: I have to admit I am a sucker for this kind of shade even though it’s a difficult colour to wear. I love it though! What do you think? Too nude?
Wanna? from Benefit’s Full Finish lipstick range looks like a hot pink in the tube: On me, it because a soft purple pink! Quite unusual but pretty nevertheless: I just don’t wear dramatic lip shades that much though. What do you think?
I Think I Love You from Benefit is a brown-plum-shimmery shade: It doesn’t look that hot in the tube but it actually looks quite nice on my lips (I think!) sort of a muted brown plum. Goes to show it’s worth trying a colour on your lips. What do you think?
Benefit full finish lipstick in Pinking of You is a nude, shimmer free pale colour. It works out to be quite a creamy nude pink on me, quite wearable although you need a few coats to get even coverage: I imagine on a fairer girl the pink would be richer toned. What do you think […]
