Baby H has such lovely soft, squishy, smooth, nice smelling skin. He has had some moments though, like infected eczema on his scalp which required two courses of antibiotics to get rid of…it’s actually very upsetting to see your child with a skin condition of any sort, because it’s just usually very uncomfortable for them and of course it doesn’t look nice. So what do you get…lots of people commenting on the rash, or whatever […]
About the time that I was expecting Baby H, I noticed a new range from Cussons called Mum & Me – a range of affordable skincare products for mum pre and post pregnancy, and also for babies. I won’t lie – I have stuck to organic products with high quality ingredients for Baby H wherever possible; I don’t see the point of adding unnecessary toxins to something as pure as a little baby. When I […]
UPDATE: 22/10/2013 Have now got much better responses from the company and hairdresser apologising for the whole debacle. I am finding the whole thing less of a horrible memory now and will just have to put it down to a unfortunate circumstances. UPDATE: 18/10/2013 I finally emailed the company to explain what happened and how upset we were by the whole thing. Someone called Laura responded with, “Unfortunately the hairdressers is a completely separate business […]
Now that Baby H has hit seven months, I have really found some stand out organic skincare products that I like to use on him; these products are gentle enough for his dry and sensitive skin, are reasonable priced and are organic or at least omit any nasty or potentially allergenic ingredients. I will share more thoughts on baby skincare on my new mummy / parenting blog very soon! It is called Dragon Baby in […]
Dolce & Gabbana are releasing a scent for babies! The unisex fragrance is 50ml and costs £28. The cologne is alcohol free, smells of citrus, melon and honey. They say the scent is reminiscent of, “The softness of baby skin, the freshness of baby breath, a mother’s sweet hug, the first smile… and other tender moments have been the source of inspiration.” Hmm, so what do you make of this?
So I was in the baby section of Boots the other day (don’t ask….) and I spotted these cute ear buds (or Q-tips!) made for delicate babies ears: I know, these have been around for ages and I am sure you mummies will be familiar, but I couldn’t help but be fascinated by them. Poking your ear drum is no joke! It really hurts and I have done it a million times before… I have […]
I have to admit, I have never been a Sudocrem user. I’ve seen the grey tubs strewn over my aunts floor, but I have never personally used the stuff. Until now. Sudocrem is supposed to work for: – Cuts and grazes – Spots – Sunburn – Dry knees and Elbows – Rashes And so on and so on. The cream is very thick, very white and smells medicinal: So like I said earlier, I have […]
I will never tire of Skinfood’s creative skincare combinations and product ideas – a Cheese Face Mask?! Garlic Eye Cream? Literal Salmon Concealer?! Banana Mascara? Hurrah for food on the face! My latest purchase was more sensible and rather soothing – Goat Milk (sic) and Lavender Face Lotion for babies. What is it about the upright squeezy bottle – it does indeed make me think, ‘baby’ or ‘infant’. This face lotion is a very light, […]
