There should be a drinking game where people have to consume as much alcohol as possible and the last person still able to say “Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Olive Cleansing Oil Review” gets £50.

Well, I am officially a cleanser hoarder, and a few months ago purchased this Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Olive Cleansing Oil. Hada Labo is a drug store, high street, whatever you want to call it skincare brand and when it’s good, it’s so good.

So brand reputation is one of the reasons I bought this. Also because it’s mineral oil free and uses olive oil as a base. I love olives.

Alas – it was not to be. Whilst I love that this cleansing oil can be used on the eyes to remove waterproof mascara (does a decent job as long as you don’t mind walking round for 10 minutes after, like you have cataracts).

Moreover it’s drying. In fact I have started to find most cleansing oils very drying, maybe not after one use but over the space of a week, I notice dry areas forming. It left my skin so parched but it may be much better for oily complexions.

I bought this from adambeauty.com for about £8.

Ah… I saw this at my local drugstore and I have been waiting for reviews. Thanks for the heads up. Drying is definitely a no-no for me. :D

Same opinion on cleansing oils. I do like their liquid cleanser, though. :)

I have been using their cleansing gel (blue bottle) and it makes my skin feel so tight. Definitely won’t be repurchasing. This cleanser is not available where I live but thanks for the review. I love their toners though.

Hi Gwen

The blue bottle stuff is the AHA/BHA stuff right? I can’t use it either. Leaves my skin VERY tight feeling. :( I bought their make up remover lotion I hope it will be more gentle!

Oh no, the AHA/BHA was next on my list to try :( I have sensitive skin though, so will give it a miss
