Shiver me timbers! The Bluebeards Revenge Shaving Cream Review

When I first heard about this shaving cream for men, called Bluebeards for some reason I kept thinking of blueberries, and therefore expected a tub of cream to arrive in a plastic blueberry tub, smelling of the fruit.

But no – instead I got this still rather cool pirate design shaving cream.  The Bluebeards Revenge Shaving Cream

This is a paraben free (good) shaving cream which reduces hair growth, combats stubble, fights razor burn, rash and lumps.  It’s supposed to be a manly brand…not for girls…like Yorkie bars, but you know what, has that ever stopped you from using your boyfriend’s shaving foam? Or his razor? It doesn’t stop me!

Here is the cream; it looks like a moisturiser but more ‘whipped’.  It will certainly work into the skin better than a foam, which barely touches the skin. This helps get everything softened up and ready…I daresay this would be a good shaving cream for lady bits.  If you are that way inclined.

I used this, Mr C used this.  Mr C used it on his face and thought it was rather nice; he uses a foam normally but his skin is incredibly dry.  This shaving cream was gentle and left his face feeling super smooth and also hydrated!  I do feel sorry for men sometimes having to shave their faces, it’s pretty harsh…it’s like us girls shaving our armpits, except it’s his face.

I used this on my armpits because that’s the only area I shave and once again, I really liked it!  I find foams a bit flimpy, and oils are ok but not that economical for the pits.  This worked in nicely on the coarse hair, and the shave was just…well easy.  Can’t ask more than that!

I doesn’t really smell of anything to me – which is good, they could’ve made it smell like old pirate.

Incidentally, this name comes from a rather violent fairytale/folktale about a man with a horribly ugly beard. The product uses the name quite cleverly huh.
