I’m not one for these matte dusting powder thingies because I think they feel so weird – they’re like powdered silicone so they feel soft of cold, then a bit sticky, then like glue and a bit like gel…yes, quite odd.
Having said that someone suggested to me to treat it like a dry shampoo – I hate dry shampoo although I’ll tolerate it in desperate times such as when;
1. There’s no water left in the world
2. There’s no shampoo or soap left in the world
3. You’re being a dirty stop out.
So with that in mind, here is the Schwarzkopf Osis Dust It 24 Hour Volume Effect Powder:
Osis Dust It Mattifying Powder has a lightweight texture to assist the natural movement of your hair and help add texture for a matt finish. Dust It has Osis control level 1 (light) for natural movement and style.
Hmm…Actually I don’t mind this stuff. I used this when I had the greasy times, and it did totally take away that horrible oil slick on my head.
Now the thing is – it is supposed to add volume – I didn’t really want the volume but it did totally add lift at the roots and made my hair poof – like how these young ‘uns like to have their hair these days. I can’t moan about that because that’s what the product is SUPPOSED to do.
The other thing is it adds a matte effect to your hair. I see how that’s on trend but I like shiny hair so I kept this to roots only.
Actually, I have no use for this in normal hair circumstances (unless I was doing a up do and wanted some grip – my hair is very slippy and this creates some resistance).
However I have been using it to touch up the roots if I feel they are a little bit skanky and it works well and is far more invisible than a dry shampoo that leaves a greyish cast.
