Salcura Zeoderm & Dermaspray Liquid Moisturiser for (babies!) Dry Skin, Ezcema, Psoriasis

A few months ago Baby H had infected eczema which was terrible; it got red, hot and inflamed and I had to set him on the path to repair which was not easy when dealing with a little one. I stopped using all commercial skincare products and used a wash the Dr gave us and plain water where possible.

I did end up buying this product I saw on Amazon – a moisturising spray (because the infection started on his scalp) called Salcura which has a gentle version that is fine for babies, and a cream called Zeoderm.

They say; Salcura Zeoderm Skin Repair Moisturiser is quickly absorbed, non sticky and penetrates the irritated skin deep down for maximum moisturisation. One of the main active ingredients in Zeoderm are natural minerals in a nano form. The trademarked ZeomaZ ingredient features Tribo-Mechanically Activated Zeolites. ZeomaZ has been classified as a Medical Product Class 1 in Germany for skin and wound care.

The spray moisturiser; Salcura DermaSpray Gentle is ideal for those with hypersensitive skin. It can even be used on babies under the age of 12 months making it perfect for infantile eczema, nappy rash, cradle cap and other skin irritations that many babies suffer from. DermaSpray Gentle provides rapid relief to irritable skin by breaking the itch-scratch cycle and helping the skin repair.

You don’t need to purchase both of the products but I decided to because Baby H’s skin was so dry.  I layered them applying the cream then spraying on top if necessary. You can see that the spray has a oily layer (I decanted some of the product into a little pump so you can see it).  Together they work really well but if I were just buying one, I would buy the cream as the spray alone isn’t rich enough.

I used this consistently for a few weeks and it worked a real treat on baby H – no irritation or problems.  It positively helped to heal his skin and seemed to make it less itchy too. I continued to use this for a few weeks after the worst of the rash went away and I can honestly say it worked wonderfully on his skin.

It has quite a strong tea tree type medicinal smell which isn’t the nicest for a baby, but it’s fine and it didn’t seem to bother Baby H.

Here is the concotion:

I used all sorts of balms and creams on Baby H’s eczema and these products were by far the best.

Once the skin has healed it advices that you don’t need to use it regularly but just now and again to maintain which is what I have done so it’s quite economical.

If you have eczema or psoriasis or any dry skin / itchy skin condition then I would definitely recommend these, and the two above are baby safe.

*I bought these from Amazon, paid around £7 for the cream and £10 for the spray which comes in different sizes (the 100ml is cheaper than the 50ml for some reason!).

Thanks for recommending these products. Babies have such sensitive skin, it’s good to find products that are non-irritating.
