Review: Sleek MakeUP All that Glitters Limited Edition Pots

I have fallen so badly in love with a glitter – not telling you what it is yet, you have to wait till I am sure I have found the right one…

Until then, I’ll share with you this little pot of glitter Sleek MakeUP sent me to try, called All That Glitters. Its part of a Limited Edition set, sold in Superdrug over the festive season.

There’s three shades, Gold, Tinsel (silver) and Cranberry (red) which is what I got. Once again, I think Sleek MakeUP has very nice looking packaging considering its a drugstore brand:

Reminds me of the Smashbox Wicked collection design – remember that? Inside is a glittery concoction – glitter suspended in a kind of firm jelly:

Cranberry – not really a red. Very much a pink based product. Not my kind of colour at all, I wouldn’t use it on my eyes really. I am guessing there could be more use for the gold and silver.

And then we look closer at the product. The glitter itself is not very fine – this is more of a chunky textured product. Its a little gritty, which would worry me because I have very sensitive eyes and as this kind of product dries off, I would not like it flaking into my peepers:

To show the kind of texture of the product, here’s a bit of it looking like a caterpillar *shudders*. You know what I hate? Hairy caterpillars.

Its pretty firm textured (the product, not caterpillars):

As you rub it away, the clear gel disappears and the product stays on. It certainly doesn’t fall off easily but with my incessant eye rubbing I’d be cautious and sparing with it.

Sleek have so many amazing products in the range – this little LE collection doesn’t work for me though. I would probably have found more use for the gold and silver glitters but this shade is not my kind of thing at all.

On top of that, I found the glitter a little too coarse and gritty when it dried. I’d probably stick to using this on the body as a all over disco dolly diva look but it would be a bugger if it got in my eyes.

Eyesight > Glitter

Thank you for this. Such a shame, why did they have to put it in gel consistency like that. Apart from the collection 2000 glitter eyeliners, there is nothing I have liked so far which is glitter and gel combined. Even the heavy metal UD glitter liners are ruuuuuuuuuuuubbish.
