The newest Shu Uemura collection, Primal Color also has four eyeshadow sticks and I bought one of them Misty Grove, a brown to try. Their Gel Liners from this collection are fabulous!

This LE stick has a pretty design on the tube:

Read on for swatches!Misty Grove looks like a black brown on the swatch but its actually far lighter in person. This is the problem I have found with Shu Uemura cream eyeshadows of late – the texture is on the hard side, and the colours are a little too unpigmented for me.
The Shu Uemura cream shadows in a pot? Very disappointing compared to say Bobbi Brown’s long wear cream shadows.

Still this one had promise, as I love anything that has been made into a compact form. Misty Grove looks like a dark espresso in the tube but is a medium brown when swatched. The texture is hard, its a little waxy, it tugs at the lids a bit, its not very pigmented:

I’d never wear this on its own for no reason – the shade is not unique, its dull, its not dark enough to use as a liner….it could just about work as quick base for eyeshadow. That’s about it…
These are really disappointing to be honest. You can browse the range here, if you are still interested.
