Pai Day Cream Avocado & Jojoba Hydrating Day Cream Review

My skin hasn’t been the best behaved lately so I’ve been testing various simple, preferably organic moisturisers to see which would help my skin out without being too heavy.

Pai is a British skincare brand, which specialises in organic skincare for sensitive skin. It actually took me a while to get to the right cream! I tried their macadamia & rose which was nice but too strongly scented for me, then they sent me the avocado & jojoba.

Very delicately scented with uplifting May Chang and Jasmine.

Our day cream is free from alcohol which can dry out the skin, as well as irritating chemicals such as artificial fragrances, parabens, petrochemicals, phenoxyethanol and propylene glycol.

Avocado is 76% organic and rather impressively, the range is free of parabens, alcohol, propylene glycol (which I see in everything!), phenoxyethanol and beeswax (which can block pores).

The texture of this cream in interesting. It reminds me of being somewhere between yoghurt and blancmange. It’s not sticky, or heavy or horrible at all, but it is different to other creams I’ve tried lately (maybe because they are more siliconey feeling!).

They have 4 creams to choose from, avocado & jojoba for normal skin, chamomile & rosehip for sensitive skin, geranium & thistle for combination skin and macadamia and rose for dry skin.

Avocado & Jojoba is the right one for me at the moment – there’s no strong scent in there and it sinks in after few minutes to leave the skin ‘bouncy’ hydrated without being too oily. Note- my skin is pretty dry on the cheeks at the moment so I am trying to treat that as my primary skin concern. If you have oily skin try geranium & thistle which is for combination skin.

I didn’t have any allergic reactions to this cream at all and I do really love the idea of using something that is free of all the preservatives and ingredients that can be adverse to the skin.

A nice choice if you have sensitive skin, dry skin or just want to try something that is organic and free of parabens.
