My final Nars Artist Palette to review is the American Dream palette. Of all the palettes I purchased (or got Mr C to purchase!) this was the one I was the most excited about getting in the post.
The palette is quite shimmery with the exception of Bali which is a neutral matte brown. But more about the shade later.
I don’t like the Nars rubber, but who does? The older these palettes get (I have a Nars drawer so trust me on this) the worse the sticky thing gets on the cases.
The shades are:
Bellisima – A shimmer white with glitter, a bit gritty
Alhambra (I just bought the duo before hand, annoyingly!) – a peachy shimmer, also grittier in this palette then in my duo
Silk Road – A pinky sheer shadow once again with gritty glitter!
Galapagos – I own this already, its a rich warm brown with gold flecks
Bali – Cool toned matte brown
Tzarine – Grey with multi shimmers, really like this
The top 3 eyeshadows were nice but kinda gritty! They’re also on the more sheer side than I expect for Nars.
The bottom 3 shades are lovely; the silvery grey and brown work so nicely together, it’s really lovely.
Swatch:
I stand by the above swatch in the sense that I wasn’t knocked out by the pigmentation. I don’t know why, the last few palettes I have bought have consistently been less pigmented than earlier palettes.

Verdict:
This is my favourite of all the palettes I got from Nars, although I still don’t think the pigmentation is a knock out, it’s still a stunning palette to own and has lots of useful shades as long as you can live with shimmer.
