Sensitive wise my skin is a 9 or 10. It’s Sahara dry, it reddens at the drop of a hat, is extremely photosensitive (I burn if the sun so musch as peaks out the clouds for 5 mins and I haven’t been warned) and some products bring on a rash at the slightest touch. Yes, my skin is that mental.

Following on twitter as @cornflakegirl26 and have retweeted.

I would say 7 of 10. I get ichy skin with the redness arround my nose, on my nose, on chin and on forehead.

    Have fun!

  3. Mandy says

It used to be like 2 when I was younger, i thought my skin was next to bullet proof. But somehow once age caught up, it has gone up to 5. Sometimes I get little bumps or redness without apparent reason and I start discovering more ingredients I’m allergic to, like hyaluronic acid.

  4. yasmine choudhry says

i use to get spots for many years, so trying anything would make it worse, so then stopped buying products as my skin was too sensitive and got worse
since seeing a dermatologist my skin no longer gets spots only monthly ones, and it can get a rash trying some products this happened last week, so itchy, just getting better

  5. harpreet says

ive got very sensitive skin, ive gotta be very carful what I put on my skin. so i say im a 9.

  6. Jen says

Skin-wise: I’d say 6/10, I can try most things without my skin freaking out, although there are one or two products out there which give me the “bumps”, unfortunately I’ve not figured out which ingredient it might be :/

Personality-wise: Probably 7/10, I’m quite sensitive to things and sometimes take things to heart that I shouldn’t!

    Psychic-wise: 7/10 lol

I find it interesting that “sensitive” can be interpreted in so many ways!

  7. says

Overall I’d say I’m 6/10 sensitive, but the skin around my mouth is like 10/10 sensitive. Since it’s dry, it gets red and flaky really easily :/

  8. cassidy says

I’d say a 6. I do have reactions to products occasionally but I’m not sure to which ingredients. My skin will either get itchy, break out, become very dry, etc. And because I saw someone say they were allergic to dust, I thought I’d mention that I am too. 😛 Oh, and mold.

  9. Anna says

I think I’m around a 7. I break out quite easily and worst thing is that I scar from my pimples. Oh boy!

  10. Irene says

    I would say about 9
if i stay in the sunshine for 5 minutes I get burnt
I’ve been using the same face cream for years because every time I try a new one I get a rush
a few years ago my mother changed detergent to wash the clothes and gave me rush all over my body

  11. Lakshmi says

    I suppose it’s about a 4 out of 10.

My skin generally copes, but every now and then it decides it’s going to react to everything!!!

  12. Shaz says

Since getting asthma … my skin has become very sensitive and itchy … 8/10

Personality wise …again about 8/10 … as long as that mark ain’t overstepped ! 😉

  13. andrea miles says

skin 6/10 has irrational flare ups & is getting quite dry
personality 9/10 – take everything personally & can’t be as perfect as I want

  14. Tracy Nixon says

As I’ve grown older, and have had kids, my stress levels have risen – and as a result my skin has become more sensitive and much more dry. I have to use anti aging, deep moisturising products now to keep my skin feeling comfortable. My 2 daughters have sensitive skin too (though my two boys haven’t!). So me and my two girls use moisturisers for sensitive skin xxx

  15. Tracy Nixon says

I have tweeted and also shared on FaceBook too @TracyNixon Thanks for the great comp!

  16. G L says

Very sensitive with tendency to allergies, so I need no chemichals but pervading creams.

  17. Alice Hindley says

! would say 6 my skin can sometime get very dry

    have tweeted the comp @aesop57

  18. Hazel says

I would say 8 out of 10 – the fragrance in lots of products gives me a headache and makes me feel ill and my skin reacts very quickly to ingredients it doesn’t like!

  19. Amelia Royle says

8 or 9 … combination skin (dry and oily), strong tendancy to redness round nose/cheeks; most skin creams irritate my skin and make it sting/itchy.

  20. Evelyn Johnston says

I would say I am an 8. Heavy fragrances in anything creams , bubble bath brings me out in a rash. Sun gives me prickly heat and I can only use one type of washing powder and conditioner!

  21. eMMA says

I think I’m around a 7. I break out quite easily and worst thing is that I scar from my pimples

  22. FionaLynne Edwards says

I’m not at all sensitive – skin as ‘ard as nails – that’s me!

  23. Cassie says

I would say a 6/7. Could be worse i guess. I break out in spots easily and tend to get quite dry skin!

  24. Julie Brett says

I would say about a 7 certain things make face really red, in particular cleansing wipes from Wilkos, I don’t use them anymore its like paint stripper for your face.

  25. Paula says

I would say 8/10 combination skin i always seem to get patches of dry skin but i don’t seem to get spots

  26. Fiona Martin says

About 8 out of 10 – I definitely let to much get to me which in turn makes me stressed and then my poor skin suffers.

  27. Fiona Maclean says

I would say 8-9. I have a few food and make-up allergies allergies and get eczema if I am not really careful with what I use on my skin. But I’ve only once had really bad eczema that caused bleeding, when I lived in a hard water district before my parents knew how sensitive my skin was.

  28. lucy carthew says

im about a seven i suppose. Too much over-indulgence and my skin does tend to suffer

  29. Milly Y says

I’m lucky at only about 5/10, although my cheeks get dry and the skin around my eyebrows/forehead gets flaky!

  30. lucy osborne says

i’m about a 6 i get dry patches on my arms and legs and neck, if i use products that are too perfumed i get very dry and thrush
    tweeted @lucy49

  31. Alice says

I am getting more sensitive as I get older. i have developed chronic migraines and there seems to be a link. So I would say about an 8 now.

  32. Firn says

I’ve been curious about Avene’s line of skincare stuff for sensitive skin but I’m unwilling to go and splash out a ton of money especially since I’ve tried stuff for sensitive skin before which didn’t really reduce my sensitivity. I’m looking for something that will not only treat my symptoms but also reduce the possibility of a flare-up in the long term.

On a scale of 1-10, I’m probably 9.5-10 depending on the alignment of the planets. I get unusual breakouts, with a bad and recurring one on my left cheek (don’t ask me why my right doesn’t really respond as badly) which has left me with hyperpigmentation on the site. I’m sensitive to UV light (as my derm told me) but I’m also allergic to many sunscreens. Serums break me out without fail, and so do some moisturisers.

My mom has very sensitive skin too so I guess she passed it on to me, and I have it in a worse form! My skin is very dry and reactive, so when I feel warm, my cheeks become flaming red. Short of wearing heavy makeup everyday, my skin can never look even-toned unless I’m in a temperature and climate-controlled environment!

  33. ANJU says

Not for me but my husband’s so sensitive that he gets a rash if he uses too much shower gel

  34. Gemma Harrison says

Skin wise 8, lots of things irritate me.
Personality wise 9, lots of things irritate me.

  35. Joanne says

Skin wise, about a 7. Spicy food, sun and hot drinks can all make my skin flushed and itchy. I have to be very careful which products I use as well, as have a tendency to flaky, dry skin which can flare up with perfumes or chemicals..

Personality wise, I’m a 10 (and that’s when I’m not even pre – menstrual). I’ve been known to cry at adverts.
