I am crazy for neutral toned eyeshadow palettes at the moment; I love having all the colours I need in one place in easy to wear tones.
The brand recently released 3 quad palettes.
The palette comes in 3 colourfast, Brown Gold for blue eyes, Blue/Grey for brown eyes and Plum for green eyes. I decided to go for Plum, just because the colours appealed to me the most and it’s different to other palettes I have (I have brown eyes though).
The colours in each palette are well chosen I think from a pale all over base, mid tone matte and two darker contour shades. The colours are actually sold individually too so you’d be getting a discount if you use this palette. They’re also pretty big in the pan (2g each colour) so it’s quite generously sized palette.
There’s very little shimmer and shine in the palette. All of the colours are quite muted:
When I saw the picture of this I thought the palette seemed quite slatey-grey rather than plum but in person, the purple is more obvious in Spellbind and Haze, although it’s not in your face plum. I quite like this, since plum that is too reddish makes my eyes look sore (or at least I think so!).
Texture wise, the eyeshdows are nice; they’re soft and quite pigmented not dissimilar to MAC eyeshadows (perhaps a tad softer). Overall this palette creates quite a neutral but smokey eye look (like the kind of things Angelina would wear!). If you are in to your natural wearable palettes, these are definitely worth checking out.
The palettes cost £29.95 and you can see the official site here.
