I am a huge huge fan of cream eyeshadows, although I am quite specific about the types I like…quite runny and shimmery, jelly like, or rich creams. Maybelline’s Eye Studio Color (using the spelling on their packaging) Tattoo Cream Eyeshadows have been out of my radar for a long time because they had a texture I don’t usually like; somewhat thin and quite solid.
Then I was sent a few colours to try; quite a neutral selection which piqued my interest, and I ended up buying a selection of USA exclusive colours and some limited editions too!
The US colours come with the black lids and the UK (possibly Europe?) colours have coloured lids (the top row in the above photo). Both come in glass jars and have the same amount of product. However; this is quite important if you decide to buy some colours from abroad – some shades have different names but are exactly the same thing as what we have in the UK.
For example, our 40 Permanent Taupe is 35 is Tough as Taupe in the US, 20 Turquoise Forever is 40 Tenacious Teal and our 15 Endless Purple is 20 Painted Purple in the US.
From my research, a few shades that are US colours that we don’t (at the time of writing) get here are; Fierce & Tangy, Too Cool, Pomegrante Punk, Edgy Emerald.
Fierce & Tangy is a bold orange (I like this but can’t see any use for it as yet), Too Cool is white which I bought, Pomegrante Punk is a rich berry shade and Edge Emerald is a green which I also purchased and will review/swatch shortly.
We get Timeless Black which apparently they don’t in the US (it is a basic rich dark black) – although not listed on many websites I have definitely seen this in Boots.
Anyway, they say:
