I recently thought I lost my beloved Goody brush – I have bought it again before, but nothing is quite like my trusty pocket sized model. The good news is i FOUND THE BRUSH, but not before purchasing a Mason Pearson Nylon brush which was fine but…nothing compares to my Goody.
I was sent this No Tangle brush from Macadamia (who make the hair oils and masks) to try. It reminds me (the top half) of the Tangle Teezer which I reviewed back in 2007 – I wasn’t too keen on it personally, although my hair is not shorter and thinner than back yonder so it could work better now.
A benefit of this Macadamia No Tangle Brush is that it has a handle – a chunky one at that, but nevertheless, it makes it easier to hold than the Tangle Teezer (in my opinion – it makes me hands tired!).
The bristles are plastic and come in two lengths – this I also like as I found the original Tangle Teezer bristles were too short for my uber tangly hair and I was working really hard and having to do my hair layer by layer which is no fun.
I like the funky green and brown colour scheme too…
I do like the width of this brush – it’s almost like a little head massager!
Now – to be honest I used this brush for a month and went back to my Goody – that brush just gives me tangle free hair instantly, and quickly and painlessly.
It wasn’t until a hairdresser did my hair and used a brush just like this one (but white!) – he told me he loved this brush for detangling quickly – so I dug it out again and actually, yes I like it more. I think it’s a good brush to use on wet hair too, and also gives hair quite a smooth finish.
From the back view:
I still love my cheap Goody brush the most, but this brush is now my second favourite although it’s not as compact as the Goody! I prefer this over the Mason Pearson which costs me three times more.
The brush is currently on sale at Beauty Bay at £6.80 with free shipping!
