I survived Fafi, I even survived Heatherette. After missing out on that, I knew that I could resist any MAC attack. But then it happened. Manish Aurora happened.
It’s bright, its OTT, its totally fabulous.
The packaging is gorgeous!
Look! its orange!
Devil blush – a true bright tangerine with some shimmer. I love this kind of colour, reminds me of Nars Taj Mahal
Kiss Manish – a shimmery cranberry type shade, like what your momma used to wear. I definately don’t go for these kinds of colours but was swept away in the moment, I actually like it, its not too heavy.
Even the case is hot!
The shades are:
- Nylon Pale gold with icy metallic shimmer (Frost)
- Going Bananas Soft lemon yellow (Frost)
- Playful Bright pink (Satin)
- Bitter Vivid bright golden green flecked with shimmer (Velvet)
- Electric Eel Vivid bright blue flecked with shimmer (Satin)
- Deep Truth Real dark blue (Frost)
Does Electric Eel appear in every MAC palette? Hmmm. I don’t have many and I have that shade in 2 other palettes (A-Mei and an Xmas one with jewels on the top).
The lighter shades in the palette in my opinion are a bit too chalky and sheer. Buildable I guess, but if your gonna give me bright, then give me BRIGHT and PIGMENTED. Devil blush is as nice as I thought it would be! its more of a true orange than Nars Taj Mahal, but I like it! I also like both the lip and gloss – strong oranges and I’m a real orange lover. I don’t know when I will actually get round to wearing them though, without looking like I’ve been let out from the mental asylum for the day.
I think its completely sold out on the US site and some things are still in on the UK site.
