My favourite kind of nail colour is bold and bright, because it seems to suit my olive skintone whereas pale shades disappear and overly dark ones are a bit harsh.
L’oreal’s Tropical collection is just up my street! 5 new shades of bright purple, pink and orange reds! There is:
430 Wonderful Watermelon, 151 Dapper Dragon Fruit, 451 Popping Pomegranate, 125 Perfect Passion Fruit and 651 Feisty Fig.
I was sent 2 of the shades to try – 451 Popping Pomegranate which is a bright orange red and 151 Dapper Dragon Fruit which is a hot fuchsia colour with a purply edge.
I’ve never considered using L’oreal polish before…But these ones are really nice to use. A good texture and long lasting (it is supposed to last 7 days and it has done for me, although I have been off work so the lady has not been doing much!).
Also the formula is free from formaldehyde and toluene.
Popping Pomegranate:
Really like this shade, it’s bright with a lovely orange tone.
Dapper Dragon Fruit:
I think this is lovely too a bit more wearable for every day (sort of!).
The only thing that I don’t like as much about this is the packaging. The lid is slightly curved and wide, so it can be a bit tricky to hold. Otherwise I’d definitely check out L’oreal in the future for polishes!
These polishes cost £6.12 each and you can buy it from Boots, Superdrug etc.

The only problem that I’ve found with the L’oreal Resist and Shine polishes is that I get little bubbles under the polish, no matter how carefully I apply, and this has put me off buying more shades. Formula-wise, I find it so-so, but the little bubbles really annoy me…I like a smooooth finish lol
