LOLA Cosmetics is a British designed make up brand which I first discovered in Marks & Spencer’s beauty hall – it has a mysterious kind of feel, everything is black and sleek and the range was apparently designed for Pro make up artists! I have been trying some bits and pieces of the range and have definitely found a few gems.
Vamp 100 is a rich deep berry with a dirty edge…like a burnt berry crumble?! It has enough purple in it for me to like it, I prefer it over the reddish purples in my collection.
The lip gloss in Pink is my usually hot bright clear pink – it’s pigmented but no opaque, so still wearable for those scared of too much colour.
Swatches – neither colour has any shimmer:
The gloss is buildable to a richer colour but just 1 coat makes it a wearable pink for me. It’s a nice texture, relatively long lasting for a gloss and just generally quite pleasant to wear.
Vamp might not be a shade for every day but it’s certainly very interesting and that little bit different compared to all the other berries that are out there at the moment because of what I’d say is almost a touch of grey in there. I like it! It’s a beautifully smooth texture, it doesn’t feel like a matte to me and to be honest, the finish has a sheen to it which I think is far more flattering than a true flat matte lip colour:
