Lips of the Day: Etude House Moon Crystal Power Gloss is like MAC Dazzleglass!

I’ve rediscovered my love of sparkly glosses; maybe it’s because the weather is so miserable outside, and I just need something to cheer my up in the gloomy mornings!

Although I don’t buy MAC that often, they do make one of my favourite lip glosses EVER – Dazzleglass in Baby Sparks.  It’s a super soft pink with tons of multi coloured sparkles and I just love it will all me heart. One of the few lip glosses I have finished.

Moon Crystal is a range of sparkly, rich textured glosses from Etude House.  There are 5 shades to choose from.  I have 01.

The other shades:

1 would usually be too pale for my liking but it looked really pretty in the pictures.  2 is a hot pink, 3 is a coral, 4 is a purple and 5 is a warmer pink. I have to say, none of the other shades really screamed at me…sometimes with sparkly shades, less is more and some of these colours were a bit bold for me.

Swatch:

It’s largely a very sheer pink with glitters that have a blue edge – very pretty! It’s less pigmented than Baby Sparks but has a similar consistency, quite thick and sticky.

On my lips:

Verdict:

I like this lip gloss, it was inexpensive (half the price of a dazzleglass at £6) and pretty and wearable. Lasting power is ok, because of it’s stickiness.  Having said that I’m still not 100% taken by the other colours so I hope they bring out more.
