My dream is that one day there will be a super machine that you can use to paint your nails by just sticking your hand in it and POOF, your nails are done and impenetrable. But until then…I will have to live with smudgy nails with duvet marks on them.
Although…Colour and Go from Leighton Denny is a clever handy sized nail polish I can get used to. These clever thing has a 2 in 1 base coat and top coat on one end, and a colour on the other. It’s the length of a pen, and the thickness of a pepperami.
Don’t get me wrong – I have seen this kind of thing before but this is the first time I’ve tried one that comes in a selection of trendy colours and is actually really good quality. The top and base coat I have been using with other polishes.
My colour is Pillow Talk which is a bright pink – it doesn’t disappoint, 1 coat gives great colour and 2 coats evens everything out. these colours are the sort of thing I like to wear too.
I personally really like Leighton Denny polish even though I don’t have many colours – I find the formulas nice to apply and the finish is always smooth and even.
The selected polishes form the Colour and Go range also come in full sizes (£16) whilst these pens are £11. Now, are these pens good value? You get 4ml on each side of product (8ml total) and you get 12ml in a regular bottle. I have no issue with ply getting 4ml of colour as I rarely finish a polish – in fact I don’t think I have ever finished a nail polish so I don’t mind only having a little bit. I am more likely to finish the top and base coat first.
After you have one of these you may not see the point of having so many of the top & base coats but I have a habit of losing my top coats, and also end up applying polish on the go/topping up sometimes so I do find this super handy.
I really like this product – provided that they release more in colours I like, I’d definitely invest in a few more!
