I am a fan of liquid foundations over powder, since I hate the dry cakey look – but Japanese powder foundations covered with a base normally do a pretty damn good job. I saw the Lavshuca combo and decided to give it a go!
I also tried the matching base, but it is just a tidgy bottle you need to shake before use:
A light beige colour – the texture is very watery:
The case is a very pretty snakeskin effect white:
070 Base – the darkest one is fine for my NC35 skintone:
The combo of the base and powder foundation creates light coverage, and a soft even base:
This has a SPF25 and comes in 5 colours.
This is new so I can’t comment on how long it lasts but so far it gives a fairly light coverage and the colour match is great. The powder is soft and even on my skin…so far so good!
The other powder foundations I have off the top of my head are – Nars, Raycious (adore this), Jill Stuart and Majolica Majorca. My favourite is Raycious for lasting power, followed by Jill Stuart then this one. Nars is lovely too but it is pricey at £37 and because the Nars rubber tends to get dirty easily, its a bit annoying to put a new pan is a dirty old case.
