Moaning on twitter works. Its just as well because moaning is one of my favourite hobbies, after eating and buying things to eat.
I was looking for an electric blue mascara – the perfect blue mascara for me HAS to look blue, not a muddy black, and it has to be bright without being too chalky.
I love YSL’s Faux Cils in blue but its toooooooo expensive for one of my whims. Luckily, Luce at viagra and cialis kindly offered to send me her Korres Mascara is blue.
Korres Abyssinia Oil Mascara is good for the lashes is:
– Volumising, conditioning, strengthening mascara
– Abyssinia oil and provitamin B5 nourish lashes
– Delivers buildable colour for fuller lashes
Here is the mascara in the tube:
Firstly – I really like the colour. Some mascara’s cop out and do a blackened blue, but this is a real electric blue.
Secondly – I love the brush. Its smaller than some brush heads (I don’t believe that bigger brush, better effect rubbish) so on my short Asian lashes, it can get to each hair.
Thirdly – I think it had quite a ‘wet’ texture which I like. Just means it glides through the lashes easily without clumps – perhaps this is the Abyssinia oil?
I am all for mascara that conditions the lashes – mine have been a bit strained from all the lash treatments!
PLEASE excuse my funky lashes – my last lash extensions were falling out and all over the place.
See how blue it is? Its a REALLY nice shade of blue, not too dark, not too light.
As for the mascara itself, I don’t think it was particularly volumizing on me but it was very lengthening.
Would I buy it for myself?
THis was a pretty good mascara – nice length, smelt good, good sized brush, cares for lashes etc. I would try out plum next time – if the colour pigment is as good as this one then we’re on to a winner!
Its on sale here for £15.50 – also comes in Black, Brown and Plum (plum has my name on it!)
