Koji are a Japanese brand that specialises in Lash Curlers, Fake Lashes, Lash Tape, Lash Glue, Mascara, Eyeliners, – you see their niche?
I got this eyelash curler because its supposed to be a special shape for Asian eyes – wider, flatter – so its supposed to catch all your lashes in one go:

The length across is 38mm:

This is Japanese engineering darling – even this curler is ergonomic! I have used a few of the Koji curlers before and I will confess that I am not a fan. I find that the spring (other Koji Curlers are springy) makes the curler hard to control and difficult to press down hard with.

A demonstration:

See how theoretically a wider curler presses the lashes so that they flare out like a peacock? This is what we want.
Here is the curler. Its a nice thing, not to heavy, not too thick (have I told you my least favourite curlers in the WORLD is the Suqqu lash curler? Hideous thing).

There is a significant difference in the shape. It lies a lot flatter if you look at the top of the curler, than your traditional model. Would this work of ann eye shapes I wonder? I guess there’s no reason why not.

And this does fit my eye, which tends to be like a lot of Asian eyes, flatter, very well. It does get the hairs in the inner and outer corner better than most curlers and no pinching either.

Its easy to use. It does feel odd though because it just lies against your eyelid (or it did on me, having puny lashes ‘an all)

I can’t remember how much I paid for this. About £12 I think which is steep for a Koji curler but not by normal UK standards. I would recommened this to ladies who find traditional curlers to hard to use (because your lashes are short and your curler lies too far away from your face) because this will get them.

*Where are the demo shots? I don’t know. I’ll get round to doing some but I will say this is a very good curler and got mine facing the sky quite easily!*
You can buy this from eBay (seller – Alphabeauty).

Hmm, I might have to dish out the bucks to buy this. I do love my Shu Uemura one, but it does get tricky trying to shimmy the thing to make sure that I get corners. I will be waiting to see the before and after pics of your lashes 🙂

I love my Shiseido eyelash curler, can’t live without it. I’ve seen Koji curlers at the Japanese market a few times, but I never thought of buying one to try… now maybe I will next time I visit the market. If it doesn’t work as well as the Shiseido, it can just go in the “back-ups” box, who knows I might need it for emergency some day, ha!
