Josie Maran Argan Colour Sticks in Love & Destiny

When I was pregnant with Baby C I decided to buy some multi use products that would speed up my beauty routine.  I managed to find two Josie Maran Argan Colour Stick products on eBay! These can be used on cheeks and lips and are a hefty 16g each!

They say:

The Argan-oil infused color stick is a sheer tint that gives lasting, natural- looking color to cheeks and lips. All shades are designed to flatter every skin tone. The paraben and fragrance free formula contains Josie’s signature ingredient, organic Argan Oil-the world’s richest source of vitamin E and essential fatty acids.

I do appreciate that there’s a fair hunk of product in there but I am not keen on the packaging – the lid specifically, which is plastic with writing on makes it feel like a sample product!

Here are the shades. I was buying blind.  Love is a shimmer-free pink beige, quite a natural colour. Destiny is a mauve pink with shimmer and is sheerer than love.

On the official website only 3 colours are listed (non of them these two!) – they must go through a lot of LE colours or get rid of old ones!

The texture is nice! It’s not overly soft, it has that slight stickiness to it that you’d get if this was exclusively a lipgloss stick…however once applied it dries off a bit and doesn’t feel sticky or uncomfortable.

The pigmentation of Love is good, only a small amount is needed, Destiny is sheerer and works almost like a highlighter because of the slightly glazed finish!

I thought these blushes wore well actually although not all day – I find blushers just don’t last that long on me!!!  I tried them on the lips and the feel fine, better than most dual use products around that work as blushers but are drying on the lips.

Verdict:

I think these are really nice, quick to use colour sticks – one this is that they do smell quite strong – it smells like (I am guessing) Argan oil – it’s not a perfume smell and it’s not sweet or floral in anyway.  It just is there and something to bear in mind if you dislike products with a strong scent.

Very nice I’d like to get my hands on one of their Colour Stick kits they sell on Sephora from time to time to try more colours and also to have them in a more compact size!

What’s your favourite multi use product?
