Introducing Souk Souk – Little Green Beauty Box

Many beauty babes have already heard of Glossy Box and Birch Box, but have you heard of SoukSouk?

SoukSouk is a ‘Green’ beauty box and is a subscription like Glossy Box but focuses on organic, natural, cruelty free and/or chemical free ranges.  There’s 5 items in the box – generous travel sizes and sometimes full size, along with a eco-beauty magazine.

I have had the May box to try and here it is! Souk Souk arrives in a regular cardboard box, which I don’t mind as after a while, the boxes from other brands…clogging up the house.  Inside is a little magazine which is quite interesting for a short read and the products are indeed, from fairly well known ‘green’ brands:

Souk Souk Little Green Beauty Box

I have heard of all these brands and tried a few things from them.  My thoughts on this particular box –

Dr Bronner soap is a nice one to try – it’s such a well know product and it’s a good travel size.

Inika – is a premium brand and the eyebrow pencil is a good product. This would cost about the same as the whole box!

Balm Balm – another good eco brand. Lip balm is always a useful product to have in a box, personally I already have my favourites thought.

Green People – Shower gel and body lotion. I am not set alight by these products, but it’s the kind of thing I would definitely take away with me on holiday because it’s much better than hotel shampoo!

The products in here if I am 100% honest don’t set me alight, but that’s because I see a lot of product.  If I didn’t then it would be a pretty decent box – everything is well sized and good quality.  I could use everything in this box, whereas with some Glossy boxes, I literally thing- WHAT IS THIS!?

It’ll be interesting to see how this is maintained – just because there aren’t THAT many eco-organic-natural brands around.  Will the products start to rotate?

There are 3 subscription options and a £2.95 shipping charge applies to all 3 –

Pay Monthly – £12

6 Months – £60 (£10 a box) – one off payment of £77.70

12 months – £120 (also £10 a box!) – one off payment of £155.40

Would you try SoukSouk?

I would if it was £10 + p&p. Amarya is a really good beauty box if you’re more eco-minded. I had cancelled my sub to go to Birchbox, but will be going back to Amarya as they’re the best boxes I’ve ever had.
